1. Karanite's own original assets

Karanite's original assets include: the Karanite name and brand identity; the Karanite logo; the Frost and Magma faction identities; Frost and Magma crown-style emblems; helper spell art; category artwork; environment backgrounds; the interface design; the crystal-orb navigation; the room UI; the host, player, and spectator experience design; and the custom Karanite visual style.

These assets are original to Karanite and were created for the Karanite live trivia experience. Karanite does not use official game screenshots, official icons, official UI, official audio, 3D models, game files, or publisher-owned artwork as site imagery.

2. Frost and Magma factions

Frost and Magma are Karanite's original team identities. They are not derived from Blizzard's Alliance or Horde, or from any other publisher's faction identities. They share only the general gameplay structure of two opposing teams in a trivia match.

3. Trivia content provenance

Karanite's trivia questions and explanations are generated with the assistance of paid Google Gemini tools and reviewed by a human before publication.

Karanite does not crawl, scrape, copy, or adapt text from game wikis, Fandom, publisher pages, community databases, fan sites, guide sites, encyclopedias, or any other specific source pages.

Karanite does not claim that its trivia content is sourced from, licensed by, verified by, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher or community wiki.

4. AI-assisted and human-reviewed content

Karanite uses AI assistance to draft trivia questions and explanations. Before publication, the content is reviewed by a human for obvious correctness issues, formatting, duplicate or broken answers, unsafe content, source / attribution errors, inappropriate language, and product fit.

AI assistance does not mean that Karanite's trivia content is official, publisher-approved, or error-free. Users can report incorrect or unclear trivia through support channels.

5. Explanations

Karanite includes short explanations after questions are answered because educational value is part of the product. Explanations are intended to help players understand the correct answer and learn from each round.

Explanations are AI-assisted, human-reviewed, and may be shortened or edited over time. Karanite does not present explanations as official publisher text.

6. Game publisher references

Karanite may reference game titles, expansion names, character names, location names, factions, items, bosses, quests, lore events, mechanics, and other game-related proper nouns. These references are used only to identify what the trivia question is about.

They do not imply affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, authorisation, verification, partnership, or official status.

7. Per-universe trademark notices

Karanite is a multi-universe trivia platform. The notices below identify each universe currently available on Karanite and the publisher whose trademarks it references. They all follow the same pattern: Karanite names the universe and its marks only to identify the subject matter of trivia questions; the marks belong to their respective owners; and Karanite is independent and unofficial — not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, authorized by, or verified by any of these publishers.

8. Future universes

Karanite is built to support multiple trivia universes. As Karanite expands to other games or entertainment universes, a notice for each universe and its publisher is added to the list in Section 7 above, and is shown there once that universe is live on Karanite.

Each per-universe notice uses the same standard pattern: identifying the universe by name; clarifying that the publisher's marks belong to them; noting Karanite's purpose is subject-matter identification only; and confirming no affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, approval, authorisation, or verification.

9. No ownership claim over third-party IP

Karanite does not claim ownership of third-party intellectual property. This includes game names; expansion names; character names; place names; lore; official storylines; official art; official logos; official music or audio; official screenshots; official game files; and publisher trademarks.

Karanite's ownership claims apply only to Karanite-original assets, platform features, interface, branding, compiled content, and original expression created for Karanite.

10. No official licence claim

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing, Karanite does not claim to have an official licence from any game publisher. Karanite's use of game references is based on identifying the subject matter of trivia questions, not on endorsement, sponsorship, or official partnership.

Karanite does not describe itself as “Official,” “Licensed,” “Approved,” “Endorsed,” “Powered by” any publisher, or “Fair use licensed” — and it does not combine any publisher's name with its own (for example, it is not “Karanite Official” trivia for any game). Karanite describes itself as an independent, unofficial trivia platform; references identify trivia subject matter only.

11. User-submitted content

Users and hosts may submit or configure content, including room names, tournament names, custom team names, nicknames, custom questions, custom answers, custom explanations, uploaded images where available, and Discord / Twitch links.

Users are responsible for having rights to any content they submit. Users may not upload or submit official game artwork, screenshots, icons, audio, models, game files, or third-party copyrighted content unless they have the right to use it. Karanite may remove or disable user-submitted content that infringes rights, creates legal risk, violates platform rules, or is reported by a rights-holder.

12. Reporting IP concerns

13. Relationship with other Karanite policies

This notice should be read alongside the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Billing Policy, and the Report & Takedown Policy. The Terms control user-submitted content rules and moderation rights. The Privacy Policy controls personal data. The Report & Takedown Policy controls DMCA, DSA, doxxing, and rights complaints.
