About Karanite
Karanite is a real-time trivia platform where a host runs a hosted-show match between two factions on the same screen. Every question pulls from World Of Warcraft lore — places, characters, expansions, raids, items — and every match is shaped by the helpers each team brings to the table. The goal is to make WoW trivia feel like a live event, not a flashcard app.
The Idea
Live, hosted, dramatic — closer to a game show than a quiz form.
Two factions, private team controllers, one public watch screen.
Helpers turn each round into a tactical decision instead of a lookup.
Who It Is For
Friend groups who want to test each other on lore in real time.
Streamers and guild leaders running community events on stream.
Anyone who wants WoW trivia that feels like a match, not a homework page.
How It Is Made
Web app built on Next.js 15 with the App Router.
Real-time room sync runs over Server-Sent Events for low-latency updates.
Question and explanation text is drafted from Warcraft reference material, then paraphrased and edited into Karanite's live-show format.
Visual assets are project-specific AI-generated fantasy artwork and branding made for Karanite.
